Vega Fence Owners Manual

I suspect any of the top names in add-on fences would be a good choice -- Biesemeyer, Unifence, or Vega or one of the many Biesemeyer clones. Mamiya 6 serial numbers. I have a Unifence on a Unisaw, which I like, but if I were buying a Unisaw today, I'd get it with a Biesemeyer.

The Vega has a micro-adjust feature which makes it attractive, so I'd give it a close look if I were adding a fence to an existing saw. If you have a Rockler store nearby, you can check out the Vega in person if they have one in stock.

You likely can fine a lot of comments on the pros and cons of the various fences with a couple of Google searches. Tom, There are several manufacturers of aftermarket fences, but I don't know if they will fit your tablesaw. Peachtree woodworking has the EZ fence system, Rockler has the Vega fence system, and Grizzly has a couple of Shop Fox fences (check out the G9220), and Mulecab.com has the Accusquare rip fence system.

The Accusquare looks a good fence considering the cost. I have a SawSmith 2000 with the standard fence and plan to upgrade someday pending a cash infusion! You can look at the thread for more info: Sincerely, Ron.

Many thanks to all of the Lumberjocks for all of your wisdom and help! Your advice finally got me motivated to do something about my piece of junk saw. (OK, maybe it is just operator error and the saw if halfway decent, but I am just getting started in woodworking.) I had an 80’s Craftsman 10-inch Flex Drive Table Saw Model No. 113.241680 that I picked up for $75 and the fence was absolutely horrible. I didn’t event like using the saw.

The back of the fance never was where it should have been, and all of my cuts were off in a variety of ways. After reading all the fellow Lumberjocks, I finally decided to purchase the Delta T2. Everyone said it was for sale at Lowes. I couldn’t find it at Lowe’s. Finally found it at a decent price at tools-plus.com. Got it for $154.47, including shipping and handling.

The thing that took the longest was trying to determine which way to mount the fence to the saw. Do I drill through the rails of the fance, as many have suggested, or do I drill through the saw itself, as several others have suggested? I eventually made a financial decision. Fence=$155.I drilled through the saw, figuring that I could eventually reuse the fence on another table saw if I ever upgraded.
